Well those of you waiting in anticipation to see what Silva would do at the weigh ins certainly saw some action. Right after Silva got off the scales he went directly up to Sonnen. He even went as far as to shoulder bump the face of Sonnen, forcing Dana White and company to step in before things took a turn for the worst.
Never have we seen direct physical contact at any weigh ins before, and this certainly adds to the intensity of the fight. Will Silva be fined for the shoulder bump straight to Sonnen's chin at the weigh ins? More than likely, but it is clearly evident that Silva is out for blood in this feud.
Sonnen remainded calm and didn't retaliate, which is a credit to him. Sonnen said after the UFC 148 pre-fight press conference that Silva is trying to find a way out of this fight by trying to get disqualified. However you take it, this fight has the makings to be fight of the year, and it couldn't come any sooner.
Sonnen came into this weigh in having to cut 20 lbs, and he did just that without trouble. Credit Mike Dulce to that because his nutritional science evidently paid off. Will this drastic weight cut affect Sonnen's performance come fight night? Time will only tell, but is is clear that this fight is personal.
